How does a wiki work in Moodle? ›

The WIki activity allows students to create a collaborative document by building pages together, similar to Wikipedia. Unlike other collaborative editing programs (such as Google docs) the Wiki is a standard Moodle activity and so no extra permissions or logins are needed.

How can I grade my students' wikis? There is no in-built grading facility in the wiki but you can manually add a grade item in the Gradebook called (for example) "yourwikiname" and enter your grades there.

The Administration tab is available to editing teachers in the course to delete page versions or selected pages. Clicking the "list all" button will list available pages to delete. The first page of the wiki cannot be deleted.

An Activity in Moodle is a feature where students learn by interacting with each other or with their teacher. They might, for instance, contribute in a forum, upload an assignment, answer questions in a quiz or collaborate in a wiki.

To change a quiz setting for a particular user or users, click the "add user override" button in Quiz Administration > User overrides, make the changes you wish and save or enter another override. User overrides are very useful when you need one exception (or a few) for an activity.

Grading from the Gradebook

Text boxes will appear inside the grade sheet for each graded item. If feedback is enabled for the item, a second box will appear with a dashed border. Enter the numerical grades and feedback for each item. Click Save changes.

Individual Wiki pages can also be deleted, with the exception of the first page in a Wiki. In most cases, you will not want to delete an entire Wiki. Doing so will delete all of the Pages in that Wiki.

Can I delete my submission on Moodle? ›

Delete and replace coursework submission

Your Submission status page will open. Select Remove submission beneath the assignment description. Select Continue on the confirmation pop-up. Your submissions status will revert to "No submissions have been made yet".

Speedy deletion

If you find one, you can mark it for deletion by adding the text {{delete| reason }} to the top of the page, replacing "reason" with the reason it should be deleted. Most articles do not meet the criteria, however, so check carefully before doing this.
