Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help
Cathedral Church of St Anne and the
Church of the Holy Rosary
A Welcome from the Dean of the Cathedral
Leeds Cathedral is one of the finest Catholic Cathedrals in England.
Dedicated to Saint Anne, the mother of Our Lady, the Cathedral is situated in the heart of Leeds city centre and contrasts with the surrounding new hotels and office blocks, The Light shopping centre, and the Victorian Town Hall.
The Cathedral is a place of silence and prayer which provides a refuge from the activity of one of Britain’s busiest cities. This atmosphere of peace has grown through the daily celebration of the Liturgy, and every afternoon there is silent Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. This sense of God’s peaceful presence is the Cathedral’s chief glory.
The Cathedral is part of the Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help which incorporates the Church of the Holy Rosary, Chapeltown.
I hope all visitors to Leeds will discover this great treasure of the Diocese and City of Leeds.

Prayer for Peace in Ukraine and the Middle East
Loving God, we pray for the people of Ukraine and the Middle Easter, for all those suffering or afraid, that you will be close to them and protect them. We pray for world leaders, for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices. We pray for the world that in this moment of crisis, we may reach out in solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need. May we walk in your ways so that peace and justice become a reality for the people of the world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
A blessed and peaceful Easter Season to you all.
